It’s time for a new year and new trends! What can you look forward to seeing more in 2020 weddings? We have the scoop on a couple of trends you will definitely want to incorporate into your upcoming wedding!
The Candy Bar
We love desserts! You can have a traditional wedding cake and still pull out a candy or dessert bar to really wow your guests. We love when a candy bar fits your color scheme to really show off the attention to detail. A great way to do this is to match the wrappers or colors of specific candy. Add in pretzels dipped in a colored white chocolate or cake pops that are coated in sprinkles that match your scheme. Add in some details such as your wedding flowers or décor that matches your centerpieces for a completed look.
Non-Traditional Gowns & Mismatched Bridesmaids
Bridal gowns have come a long way since the traditional top to bottom white lace. Gowns have evolved into different styles and even colors over the years. In the new year we are looking forward to some stunning details. Gowns are now incorporating colors such as all-over soft blues and ombre blush and peach tones for a unique twist on the classic gown. We are also predicting more applique additions such as 3 dimensional flowers and patterns for a grand expression of style.
Added Theatrics
Amp up your wedding day vibe! There are some great theatrical effects anyone can add to your wedding without going over the top. Your DJ may offer a light display or spotlights to enhance your day. Go a step further and consider including a fog machine to sashay into your first dance with an ethereal, dancing on a cloud performance. Another magical way to enhance your wedding is a bubble machine to fill an outdoor venue during cocktail.
Unique Guest Books
Branch off from the traditional guest book for something unique you will cherish forever. We love the idea of a guest book you can use as décor in your home after your wedding day. Have your guests sign a piece of a puzzle that fits together to symbolize everyone who has supported your love. Transform your guest book material into an item such as a sturdy fabric you can then make into a tote bag. A beautiful way to create an art piece that will last forever is to have a canvas photo on a frame printed of you and your spouse that everyone can sign and you can hang up on your wall!
Look out for some of these 2020 wedding trends and try to include some into your special day! Of course, there are so many more trends coming our way. Stay tuned for a blog in the new year for more trends we see making their way into weddings!
