Not sure if you need a wedding planner?
Not everyone does, but it definitely can lift a huge weight off your shoulders and ensure your wedding goes smoothly! Planning a wedding can take up a lot of time and you may not always know where to find resources for décor, vendors, or key items you are looking for. We have 5 reasons why you need a wedding planner!
Vendor Recommendations
You may not know what vendors you need to book or where to even look. Your wedding planner comes with a whole arsenal of vendors they have worked before, vendors for your price range, and who they would recommend for what your aesthetic and location is. Furthermore, they will have a direct contact or be able to get in touch with those vendors, saving you valuable time from searching on the internet and reading countless reviews.
Décor Direction
There are many décor details (remember our past blog when we discussed up-lighting and the perfect table setting?) that you may not think of. When searching on Pinterest, you may fall in love with a table that is way out of budget and replicating that table 10 or more times to fill your venue space will break the bank. Your wedding planner will have advice on how to recreate the look you want to achieve while maintaining your theme and budget.
Avoid Timeline Faux Pas
Without a wedding planner you will not end up with a formal timeline. Rather, you will have a handful of emails from various vendors letting you when they may arrive and what time they want to have certain activities take place such as formal photos, first dances, speeches, etc. These can often conflict with each other if you don’t have a wedding planner to oversee the timeline creation. Your planner will contact each vendor and coordinate exactly when each piece should happen so no one is overlapping or having to rush around. This is the best way you can make sure you fit in everything you want into your wedding without double booking your time and causing a stressful situation.
Maintain Your Stress Levels (and your full-time job)
Speaking of stress… a wedding planner’s goal is to alleviate the wedding planning process. It can truly become a full-time job! In order to maintain your current work/life balance without trying to juggle a third, fall back on your wedding planner for some of those time-consuming tasks (such as researching vendors) and be at ease knowing they will prompt you when decisions need to be made.
Enjoy Your Wedding Day (To the Fullest!)
You should not have to think about anything on your wedding day except for getting married and enjoying yourself! Your wedding planner will be your contact person for all vendors so they will not have to call you with any directions or questions. If anything goes wrong, your planner will be behind the scenes to find a solution. Your planner will also guide you on the day-of so you know what is taking place next and anticipating what and who is needed for things such as photos and speeches, so no time is wasted. You can be at ease knowing the day will go exactly as planned with your wedding planner by your side!
