If you have ever attended a wedding, you may have heard the term timeline talked about by vendors and coordinators. A big part of your wedding planner’s job is to keep everyone hired for the wedding on the same page. Days before your wedding, we have sent out copies of a timeline that is crafted to detail arrivals of everyone from your hair and makeup artists to your photographer. We determine who is needed and when for photos, speeches, and dances. We have your DJ clued in on anything to be announced. Your timeline keeps everyone moving on the big day.

Of course, not everything always goes perfect. As situations arise we are there to swoop in so you never know what happened. Our goal is to act as crisis-management from wrinkled linens to missing wine glasses. We track down late vendors, make sure your deliveries arrive as planned, and guarantee the floor plan is exactly what you expect. This can be especially important when there are miscommunications or last-minute changes before the big day. A wedding planner always makes sure all changes are in writing!

A big point we like to make is the importance of buffer time. Within our timelines and in our day-of coordination, we have time set aside for movement, heart-to-hearts, wardrobe changes, and grabbing a bite to eat. Without a coordinator, it can be chaotic to know what to expect next or where to go. It can be easy to get caught up in a conversation with a relative you have not seen in a while. You can miss out on all those great hors d’oeuvres or have a cold plate by the time you sit down. As your wedding planner, make sure you have time to savor the details you have planned so well!
At the end of the day, a wedding planner will eliminate a lot of unnecessary stress so you truly enjoy your wedding day. All the pieces are organized and put together by our team.
