Hello readers! We hope you all are having a great summer and enjoying these long days while they last. Wedding season is in full swing around here, and that means we are spending our long days working alongside many incredible vendors to make our clients’ wedding day dreams come true. This gave us the idea to start a spotlight series on our blog. We want to highlight some of those vendors that make this job even more fun. Our hope is that you will visit their websites, follow their social media pages, and share their businesses with any brides-to-be you may know.
When this idea came to our minds, we knew the first vendor we wanted to feature is a venue that feels a little bit like home. Malachi Meadows is a hidden gem located just outside of Wilmington, North Carolina. Owners Emily and Todd are as down-to-earth as they are professional, and every inch of their venue is looked after with the most detailed care. They are both dedicated to ensuring clients have an unforgettable experience, which is why working with them is always a treat for us.
Malachi Meadows is both an indoor and outdoor venue that can accommodate up to 200 guests. Nestled back in a spacious wooded area, Malachi Meadows feels like an elegant oasis the moment you turn into the driveway. The outdoor features include a gorgeous fireplace, a covered pavilion for cocktail hour, and a large garden area. The layout of these features always makes the night’s transitions flow so smoothly. Many couples choose to exchange vows in front of the outdoor fireplace, and the pictures seldom do justice to how beautiful it is in the moment. Owner Emily is always there to open the handcrafted doors for each bride to make her entrance, and we love sharing that moment of pride with her as our couples say “I Do.”

The indoor portion of the venue can be used as both a ceremony/reception space or solely for the reception. Anyone who has been inside Malachi Meadows would likely agree that the first thing to catch your eye is the stunning double staircase at the back of the room. For brides who choose to do an indoor ceremony, they make their entrance down the staircase, and it is always a moment that takes our breath away. The interior is open, spacious, and neutral and because of those things, no two wedding days at Malachi Meadows look the same. We have seen couples choose bright colors and flowers as well as couples opt for more classic tones, and it all fits within the design of the interior. Additional features include a gorgeous chandelier, an indoor bar area, and two getting ready suites. Your bridal party and guests will truly feel right at home celebrating you at Malachi Meadows.

As planners, we never know what the dynamic will be coming into a venue. We can say confidently that when we look around on wedding day at Malachi Meadows, we will see Emily and Todd right there beside us. They are quick to resolve issues and answer questions, and they are gracious to every person who steps inside their doors. We feel lucky to work alongside them at their gorgeous venue, and even luckier to consider them friends. We hope you will reach out to Emily on her website if you are looking for a wedding venue. You will not be disappointed.
